The City says staff will discuss the Customer-First Action Plan and planned service enhancements for the expected increase in ridership this fall, and that residents can ask questions and share comments. The free Indian Food Festival of Ottawa returns to Clarke Fields Park in Barrhaven August 21 to 23, 2026, with regional Indian dishes and street food. Free admission.
Free entry to the Barrhaven Annual Carnival for Kids on Saturday, August 22, 2026, 1 to 6 p.m. at Larkin Park (76 Larkin Drive). Enjoy Arjunia the Magician, local entertainers, games and prizes, bouncy castles, food and treats, and a visit from CHEO Bear. The event raises money for CHEO, and visitors can bring a donation for the Barrhaven Food Cupboard for a chance to win a prize.

Upcoming O-Train expansion work includes overnight Moodie and Pinecrest/Greenbank ramp closures July 20 to 22, and Corkstown Road closures through July 31. Follow signed detours and posted speed limits.
Resurfacing, catch-basin work and related repairs are underway on Fallowfield Road between Greenbank Road and the railway.
The City asks residents dealing with storm waste or basement flooding to submit the appropriate service request so the responsible team can respond.
Scott Street closes between Bayview Station Road and Parkdale Avenue Monday, July 27 at 7 a.m. for watermain repairs. OC Transpo detours routes 12, 13, 57, 61 and 75 in both directions by way of Bayview Station Road, Burnside Avenue and Parkdale Avenue, and the City says those routes may experience some delays. Stops 7332, 8045, 7334 and 7333 close, with temporary stops on the detour. The City says the street is scheduled to reopen Sunday, August 2 at 5 a.m. for IRONMAN Canada-Ottawa and may close again Tuesday, August 4 if work is not finished.
Fall activities, PA Days and winter camps can be viewed online July 28. Fall swimming registration opens August 11, and registration for all fall activities opens August 13.
Supervised swimming at Ottawa beaches continues daily from noon to 7 p.m. through August 30. Check the City schedule before visiting an outdoor pool or wading pool.
One westbound Riverside lane is closed for the Bank Street Renewal Project. One lane in each direction uses the eastbound side, and left turns remain prohibited at Bank Street and Riverside Drive.
