Accessibility
Barrhaven Bugle aims to make its public website usable by readers using keyboards, screen readers, zoom, high-contrast settings, and mobile devices. We use WCAG Level AA as the working target for new public pages.
Last updated: June 11, 2026.
What we check
- Page language, titles, headings, landmarks, and link text.
- Keyboard access, visible focus, and target sizing for links and buttons.
- Colour contrast for text, buttons, labels, and interactive controls.
- Alternative text or empty decorative alt text for images.
- Responsive layout so content remains readable on phones and desktop screens.
Third-party content
Some parts of the site link to or embed third-party services, including Substack, Facebook, X, Google Fonts, and Open-Meteo. We do not control those services, but we try to provide plain links or fallback paths where possible.
Report a barrier
If something on the site is difficult to use, email [email protected] or [email protected]. Please include the page URL, what you were trying to do, the device/browser or assistive technology if relevant, and what happened.
Alternate formats
If you need information from a page in another format, email us and we will make a reasonable effort to provide the content in a usable form.
