Lo says 12 Barrhaven East households reported flooded basements

Councillor Wilson Lo’s July 7 update says 12 households in Barrhaven East had reported flooded basements after the Canada Day heavy rainfall, even though the worst impacts spared the ward. The note repeats the City’s storm-waste guidance: report basement flooding to 3-1-1, keep documentation for insurance or grant purposes, and call 3-1-1 after placing flood-related waste at the curb because those items are being collected on a separate cycle. Lo also points affected households to the City compassionate grant program and says the province is assessing whether Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians will be activated.
