The Environment and Climate Change Committee received a mid-year Solid Waste Master Plan update saying curbside garbage set out by Ottawa households dropped 15 per cent in 2025, with almost all households staying within the three-item limit. The City says it is also expanding green-bin access in multi-residential buildings, adding more three-stream bins in parks and public spaces, and planning long-term organics processing beyond 2030; Council is expected to consider the recommendations June 24.
