The City of Ottawa says supervised swimming at Mooney’s Bay, Britannia, Westboro and Petrie Island beaches begins Saturday, June 20, with lifeguards on duty daily from noon to 7 p.m. until August 30. The same City notice says most outdoor pools are open or opening June 20, and wading pools begin staggered late-June openings; residents should check location schedules before heading out.
