The Emergency Preparedness and Protective Services Committee approved a new Licensing By-law that would remove licensing requirements for group homes and simplify several business licence categories. The City says the changes include lower-cost one-day licences for refreshment and mobile vendors at festivals and community events, and a streamlined annual authorization for nightlife venues hosting multiple all-night events.
