The City’s Planning and Housing Committee approved Building By-law changes that would move grading, drainage and surface-water plan checks into the building-permit process for smaller residential projects that are exempt from site plan control. The City says the change is meant to close a stormwater-review gap for buildings up to 12 units and direct runoff away from nearby buildings and properties; Council is expected to consider the recommendations June 24.
