The City of Ottawa says Lalande Conservation Park is temporarily closed effective Tuesday, June 9 after a reported incident involving coyotes in the area. The City says it is coordinating with provincial authorities, wildlife experts and partner agencies, installing trail cameras, and asking residents to avoid the park and surrounding greenspace until operations are complete. Residents are reminded not to shoot, trap or approach coyotes; concerning behaviour can be reported to 3-1-1, while an immediate threat should go to 9-1-1.
