Council approves transit reliability measures, including Para Transpo evening pilot

Ottawa Council directed staff to buy two six-metre Para Transpo buses, pilot two extra hours of Para Transpo service on Friday and Saturday evenings, hold free familiarization weekends, buy two articulated buses, install heat tracing on Line 1 overhead wires and deploy councillor-requested transit-priority measures. The City says the interim funding will come from transit reserves while it seeks to recover costs from Rideau Transit Group.
