Hydro crews still working small Barrhaven-area outage pockets after storm

After the City’s storm-response availability, Hydro Ottawa’s outage map showed 5,269 customers still affected citywide in data generated at 2:34 p.m. In the Barrhaven/South Nepean view, the map showed small pocket outages around Barrhaven West and the east Barrhaven/Heart’s Desire area, with affected-customer counts masked under 10 in those local pockets and restoration estimates running into late July 2 or July 3. Hydro Ottawa says crews are prioritizing the remaining larger outages first, and warns residents to stay 10 metres from downed lines and avoid flooded basements if water has risen above outlets, baseboard heaters or the electrical panel.
