The City of Ottawa says residents still recovering from the July 1 extreme-weather event can request wellness visits through 3-1-1, get flood-cleanup guidance and find information about insurance and City claims at ottawa.ca/HeavyRainfall. Ottawa Fire Services continues wellness visits in the most affected neighbourhoods, and the City says a second storm-debris collection sweep is scheduled to begin early next week in impacted wards. Residents with storm-related debris should submit a service request if they have not already done so, and should leave discarded items at the curb because storm debris can contain broken glass, mould or other hazardous materials.
