City schedules July 12 storm-recovery briefing at Ben Franklin Place

The City of Ottawa says it will hold an in-depth community briefing and information session for residents affected by the July 1 extreme weather event on Sunday, July 12, from 1 to 5 pm, in the main entrance of Ben Franklin Place at 101 Centrepointe Drive. City staff and partners are expected to have information booths on waste disposal, flooded-home cleanup health and safety, building codes and permits, reporting basement flooding or damaged infrastructure, support programs and insurance processing. The City says more sessions will be announced and residents who cannot attend can use the storm-recovery community information hubs and ottawa.ca/HeavyRainfall for updates.
