Barrhaven disc golf proposal revised after safety review

A proposal to add disc golf baskets at Calaveras, Chapman Mills and Oldfield parks has been revised after a safety auditor review, Councillor Wilson Lo's weekly newsletter says. Each park would now get one basket instead of two, to meet clearance standards.

Oldfield Park has been dropped from the plan because of layout and space concerns and resident objections. The proposed site has moved to the east edge of Furness Park near the sledding hill. Funding is earmarked but not yet approved, and updated maps have been posted for public feedback.
